Happy Holidays!
As the year comes to an end, completing the first year in my little shop, it makes me think about how fortunate I am. I love my job. And it’s because of you, my clients. Thank you for allowing me into your life, for teaching me so much, and for making going to work so enjoyable. Each day is different each conversation unique, and each client an opportunity to discover new beauty. One of my favorite parts of my job is the laughter – so much laughter.
I am blessed to love what I do, and to have the clientele I have. I am looking forward to continuing our journey together; to learning, laughing and making you look spectacular.
Happy new year!

Yes, I am away again. I am heading to warmer climate with my beloved family. I will be returning to work October 25th. I will have the internet so feel free to send me an email!
I am hoping that you want to wait for me to return home so I can have the pleasure of tending to your locks! I will keep my fingers crossed.

I don’t want to jinx it but I think summer might be here? What does warm weather do for me? It makes me want to head out into the woods seek out a lake and camp. On that note I will be out in the woods this BC Day long weekend!
As for the rest of the summer- I am going to taking a 2 week vacation in the okanagan on my favorite lake. I am leaving August 19 and returning to work Tuesday September 6th.
I am crossing all my fingers and toes that summer is here and that it brings all of you BBQ’s with friends and family, late evenings on the beach and all the outside time you can imagine.

It is the day of our nation’s birth and my first wedding anniversary this weekend! And on top of that I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new niece or nephew! Which means that I will be taking tentative bookings next week as I’m on stand by to be up on the sunshine coast at a moments notice. Text or email me for the next 5 days for an appt!
Happy Canada everyone! I hope the sun shines you spend it with friends eating drinking and being merry!

Hello to my beautiful clients and almost clients!
I’m hoping the weather has finally turned to spring/summer (crossing my fingers). And with that we plant our gardens take off winter layers and put on the sunglasses. It’s about time.
With layers being removed I’m spending the long weekend with some lovely ladies celebrating the upcoming wedding of my dear friend Heather. Should be a blast. So if I don’t get back to you till Monday you will know why!
Happy Victoria Day Long Weekend! Cheers!
The Parlour has been open now for 3 months to the day.
It has been such a treat to work in this space. I am getting better and better at maneuvering the space like a well oiled machine. I am getting lots of new faces in the shop. This makes a girl very happy to be able to show off the space to both the current well loved clients and the new clients making their first appearance. Getting to watch each person walk into the space and take it all in is definitely a highlight. Every few moments another item in the shop gets noticed, their faces light up in fascination. I love it. It is the reason I put it all in there. Be prepared for more conversation pieces! Recently, Craig brought me a painting – we have called him/her “Skyler”. So far we have decided he/she is German. But that’s as far as we have gotten.
The other new items in the shop include THE SIGN in the WINDOW! It was made from an old piece of wood out of a house being reno’d on the sunshine coast. And lovely Danika has helped me by designing it and making it happen. It looks pretty fantastic. And new business cards should be done by monday!
All in all, my little hair shop is almost complete. I love it. If you haven’t come in yet, I can’t wait till you do – and watch your face light up too.
I have let Asha Burke reside in my past and have started the new year with a new salon and a new last name – Labreche (pronounced La-bresh).
The website is still under construction but the shop is fully operational!
